Holy crap what a bad idea. Stephen Sommers takes on Tarzan?

Published on September 2nd, 2008

Lets get something straight, I have liked exactly zero of director Stephen Sommers films. And with crap like Van Helsing, The Mummy, and Deep Rising on his rap sheet can you really blame me? A few years ago Guillermo Del Toro was eyeing this project, which to me makes much more sense than Sommers, but since has dropped out in favor of The Hobbit (which is currently filming) and a few other projects. Now Stephen “I shouldn’t make movies anymore” Sommers has his grimy little hands all over it. It’s bad enough he’s about to take a steaming dump on upcoming GI Joe movie does he have to ruin Tarzan too?

Question: Who would you pick to direct Tarzan?

I think they should leave it alone.

They should just throw this script in the garbage…..I’ll end up watching it anyway. Sigh.

@TiffaHorror, thankfully Sommers didn’t write this one. Stuart Beattie (Collateral, Australia) wrote it. Even with that in mind you’re right, put the script in the shredder otherwise I’ll be less 10 dollars on opening night. I’m a sucker.
